An Emmy-winning actress, Holland Taylor discusses her portrayal of former Texas Governor Ann Richards in her new solo play, “Ann: An Affectionate Portrait of Ann Richards.” After Richards death from cancer in 2006, Taylor set out to honor the former governor by writing and performing the play. The 45th governor of Texas, Richards was known for her strong personality and for her efforts to expand women’s and minority rights. Taylor has appeared on Broadway, on television and in film. Recently, she won an Emmy for her role on “The Practice” and was nominated for her performance on “Two and a Half Men.”
